1964年， Paul Simon移居歐洲后，開始在巴黎和英國倫敦各種民間俱爾部中演出。返回紐約后，他與CBS的唱片公司簽約，制作人為Tom Wilson，并且重新與他的老搭檔Garfunkel合作。
